Keeping Central a Safe Campus

Central Middle School makes every effort to keep students and staff safe.

There are several programs we utilize to maintain a secure campus:

  • Closed Campus- All gates are locked and all visitors must sign into office.
  • School Safety Plan (Available in Office)
  • Campus Supervisors (Central has three trained campus supervisors who closely monitor our students and activities oncampus during school hours.)

  • Detection Canines and their handlers make random visits to Central Middle School to keep our campus drug free.
  • Surveillance cameras are located throughout the campus to provide an extra layer of protection for our school.
  • RUSD Parent Handbook-The camera and canine program are further explained in the links below.  Use either of the following links to go to the Riverside District Parent Handbook, page 21 for further information about student welfare and safety in English version and page 22 in Spanish version.
