Counseling Department

Vision Statement

The vision of Central Middle School’s counseling program is for all students to work towards achieving their full potential as responsible citizens and worldly lifelong learners with a balanced mental health.  Central alumni will graduate from high school and have a post secondary plan. This will be achieved through individual student choice to reach their highest level of academic, career and personal goals.  As a counseling department, we strive to reach these student goals using multi-tiered systems of support; which includes whole class instruction, small group support and individual consultation.  We strive for our students to model respectful behavior, a strong ethical character and a rebounding resiliency.

Mission Statement

The mission of Central Middle School’s Professional Counselor is to provide a data informed comprehensive counseling program for all students in 7th and 8th grade, including providing engaging equal opportunities and access in the domains of academics, college, career, and social-emotional growth. We strive to successfully facilitate college and career readiness in cooperation with parents, guardians and all members of the school’s community.  We are committed to providing an inclusively safe and supportive academic, social-emotional and physical environment for all students.
